DryCleaning
Dry cleaning is a garment cleaning process that uses solvents instead of water as the cleaning medium
Unlike water, solvents do not swell fibers of a garment which in turn helps the garment maintain its original shape and color. There is no shrinkage and color loss is minimal
Solvents like Hydrocarbon, Perchloroethylene, Supercritical CO2, Liquid Silicone (D5) and proprietary solvents like Kreussler’s SolvonK4 and Seitz’s Intense are used in Dry Cleaning
Wetcleaning
Wetcleaning is a gentle water based cleaning process that involves specialized machines with programmable drum rotation speed and specialized chemicals to prevent or minimize color loss and shrinkage
No, Wetcleaning cannot completely eliminate Drycleaning due to the unique fabrics, trims and dyeing processes used in India
No, The Professional Wetcleaning cycle is a combination of programmable drum rotation and extraction speeds, specialized chemicals and programmable wetcleaning cycle time. Home washers cannot do this.
No, Professional Wetcleaning chemicals contain additives that prevent/minimize color bleeding and re-deposition and also minimize shrinkage of garments which home detergents cannot do.
Darning and Repair
Yes we offer Darning (Hand weaving) and Repair Services
We do zipper changes, button changes (with nearest match), sewing machine repair, minor alterations like shortening of pant length etc.
We usually take 3 working days for minor repairs. More complex repairs may take a longer time
Laundry
Professional Laundries use programmable machines with powerful professional detergents and chemicals not available to the public. Disinfectant washing at 90C is not possible in most home washing machines. The detergents and chemicals used not only allow for deep cleaning of quilts, blankets, bed sheets and other household garments but also help disinfect such household and personal items
Yes we use bleach in our laundry and stain removal process
Bleaches are used to whiten, disinfect and stain removal of clothes
Bleaches can be classified into oxidizing and reducing bleaches. Oxidizing bleaches give oxygen to the garments/stains and Reducing bleaches remove oxygen from garment/stains.
We use color safe Oxygen bleach based on hydrogen peroxide/per acetic acid in our general cleaning and disinfecting process and for our stain removal process we use sodium hydrosulfite and sodium hypochlorite bleaches.
Home Pickup and Drop
Yes, we offer a FREE Home Pickup and Drop service in the Bandra West, Khar West and parts of Santacruz West areas
Yes, a minimum order value of Rs 500 is required for FREE Home Pickup and Drop. For orders less than Rs 500 a service charge of Rs 50 will be charged for Bandra West area. For other areas charge will depend on actual location.
We return Regular Service orders in 3 working days
Yes we offer a Next Day and Same Day service at an extra charge.
Stain Removal
We cannot guarantee removal of stains as stain removal is dependent on age of stain, type of fabric and color and other such variables.
We can only determine if a stain is removable when we actually spot the stain. However based on our experience and on physical inspection of the stain we can make an educated estimate if the stain is removable.
We use imported stain removal chemical from experienced manufacturers in Germany and USA. Stain removers are broadly classified for removal of Paint, Oil and Grease (POG), Tannin based stains and Protein based stains
When a stain is left on a garment for a long period of time, the oxygen in the air reacts with the stain and oxidizes it. It is very difficult but not impossible to remove an oxidized stain. We strongly recommend treating a stain as early as possible
Yes we charge if a stain cannot be removed to cover of the cost of the three stain removal cycles we carry out in the stain removal process.
Most categories of Paint, Oil, Grease and Ink stains can be removed. Most Tannin based stains can be removed, Most Protein based stains can be removed. Some exceptions are Gutka Stains, oxidized stains etc
